Great app

Awesome app for slowing down parts to learn for playing drums. Missing a built in metronome other than that its a must have for anyone learning to play an instrument.

App is brilliant

Very useful, I love it.

Life-saving!

Great tool for church...

Awesome app

Im a bass player, and this app is so helpful to learn new songs. Its amazing how powerful and flexible it is. Its so well designed - you can tell that a lot of thought and care went into designing it. My band mates have been so impressed with it that theyve bought iPads just so they can use this app. Ive never had any problems or crashes. Its my favorite iOS app!

Awesome

Just got back into learning guitar after many years away (to learn songs, I used to do the listen/rewind thing on a little cassette tape recorder). This app goes way beyond anything I had back in the day. Pitch control, customizable speeds, a tuner even! Everything needed to learn guitar, or whatever instrument you play. Cant say enough. Well worth the money.

Great app

Easy to use. You can load any song from your iTunes into the app and starting figuring it out instantly. The feature that allows you to slow songs down is perfect for intricate parts or riffs and it also includes a loop function as well. Very much worth it. Combine it with an app for tabs or pay for them here, either way its great for learning songs. (Works good for singing too because you can hear the melody slow too.)

Fantastic app!

This app is really fantastic. The slow down feature and the auto loop are really cool and super helpful when leaning complex music. I also appreciate that it shows the meter timing for the original piece or as you slow it down it changes the timing to match the new pace. Worth the money!

Finally!!!

Ive been looking for app like this for years. I cant believe all the useful features built into this thing to make learning and practicing new guitar parts easier. Way easier. I wish I had it when I started playing many decades ago. Love the looping and loop mark features, the stair step timing bit, the easy import of the iTunes playlists. And the micro pitch adjustments so you dont have to keep tuning your guitar to matcha recording. Amazing tool!

Scary GREAT!

By far the best most intuitive transcribing tool via app or hardware...EVER! Even at its slowest point of .05 % the app handles like a champ, amazingly clear. The eq presets & feature allow you to tweeze sound & eliminate drum rumble or cymbal harshness. Marker controls & functions are superb & enjoyable to explore recordings. Even as a stand alone listening tool to share solos, excerpts, whatever... with friends. One of the best apps on my phone... eliminates the need to manually import tracks by accessing my phones iTunes then allows conversion to its own file. The portability & ease of use anywhere makes it the default music study app with or without your instrument at hand. Freaking amazing! I paid $300 for a super scope 1/2 speed tape deck in the 80s ... Who knew?

A great tool!

I use Transcribe on my Mac to learn playing drums. Until I found this app, ow I can do almost the exact same thing, such as altering the speed, changing the pitch, creating loops and marks. This has been a great app for me.

Best app ever!

Period.

Highly recommended for language learners.

I am learning Korean and use Anytune to slow the audio in my CDs which accompany my textbook. The dialogue is recorded at natural speed which is not comprehensible even if I know 100% of the vocabulary used. This is because learning to parse words in real time is a skill independent of learning words and grammar. In the classroom, the solution is for the teacher to stop the CD every few seconds and repeat the phrase at a slower speed. This is tedious and also undermines the exercise to a certain extent. I find it much better to use a "scaffolding" approach where I first listen at 50% speed several times until I understand, then listen at (say) 70%, then 85% then finally 100%. In other words, slowing the audio turns incomprehensible input into comprehensible input. Exposure to such comprehensible input is a key concept in second language acquisition. This has the additional benefit of providing motivational small wins. Instead of being demoralized that I cannot understand the dialogue despite knowing all the grammar and vocab therein, I become excited that I could understand and feel fired up for the challenge of listening at the next speed level. My teachers love this app as well. The downside is the price. I tried a cheaper app first and found that the quality deteriorated too much when the audio was slowed below 85%, which provided only limited utility. With Anytune I can slow the audio all the way to 40% without excess deterioration in the quality. This makes an enormous difference as most of the real-speed dialogues in my textbook are not yet comprehensible at 85%. Typically I start at 50% on the first listen. So for me the higher price is worth it. (As with other apps, the original pitch is maintained so the voices do not becomes unnaturally low at slower speeds.) In short: expensive but awesome. Highly recommended to language learners. If you happen to be a musician as well, all the better.

Fantastic app

This a a really great app for transcription. I use it all the time. Simple to use, with all the important features.

Excellent app!

Great app to practice and find out how that song was really played. What I like best are the audio quality and being able to slowly increase the speed of loops, making the process of figuring out what to play into playing it naturally very simple.

The Best App Out There

If your looking to refine your playing technique AND listening skills you need this app. I would have DIED for this app when I was a young wipper snapper like yourself. I WOULD PAY WAY MORE FOR THIS APP--- dont tell the developer ....... Would you deny a scientist a microscope? Im a teacher and a performer for 25+ years. Get this app or stop complaining.

Great Tool!

Best app for breaking and slowing down music in order to have a better understanding of what you are hearing!

Incredible!

I have had a Boss Micro BR for several years, and I thought it was awesome...... until using this app! The ease of use and functionality of this app coupled with the power of the modern iPad far surpasses what you can do (within reason) with hardware alone, and the sound quality is EXCELLENT! The Micro BR WAS OVER $200, so if you already have an iPad, $14.99 is one heck of a bargain!

Excellent

Really fun app.

Best slow down program that Ive used

I had one that wanted to take over all my audio files. Another was almost as good as this one. The only down side is it will not play ACC files.

Great.

It works fine. Would greatly benefit from an stereo out-odd-phase isolation function (like Riffstation). There would be no stopping this app then.
